Hello,

I am planning on upgrading to an Intel Processor. I currently have some sort of AMD processor that is kind of slow for me. I do in fact do PC gaming so I'm on it quite alot. I just don't know exactly what I need to do. I need help with upgrading to a good card with a decent price. I understand that my motherboard is incompatible with some, however that can change. I will leave my specs below. I'm also kinda tight on my budget. $150-$250 is probably it.

Thanks, and any help is appreciated!

Hi Kubawysota,

I apologize for that, according to your Gigabyte™ motherboard: GA-78LMT-USB3, this is the CPU supported list: http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=4305 http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=4305

You can find this list on your motherboard manufacturer website: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4305# http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4305#

Hope this could help you, sadly there is not an Intel® Processor supported of your motherboard.

Regards,

Hellen.

Hi Kubawysota,

depending on the speed of your ram. you could move up to skylake as some gigabyte motherboards do support the ddr3 still and the new ddr4, but you would need to look for the motherboard to match your ram and then select your skylake cpu. i believe that the Z170 is if you want to overclock. otherwise the H170 should be ok

StormChaser
