Hello Everyone, new member here!

Since I heard the news about "Windows 10", i am curious if why not install Windows 10 to my PC?

I don't know if my processor is compatible with Windows 10.

Because, Windows 10 minimum requirements meets my PC Specifications

Windows 10 Minimum Requirements:

Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster.

RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)

Free hard disk space: 16 GB.

Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver.

A Microsoft account and Internet access.

My PC Specs:

Intel® Pentium® Processor E5400 @ 2.7 GHz

2GB RAM

80GB SSD

MSI GeForce n210 1GB DDR3 Graphics Card

1920x1080 display

Also, my current operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit. I use 32-Bit because i am confused if my processor is a 32 or 64-Bit.

Thanks, and God Bless!

This is your processor:

http://ark.intel.com/products/40478/Intel-Pentium-Processor-E5400-2M-Cache-2_70-GHz-800-MHz-FSB Intel® Pentium® Processor E5400 (2M Cache, 2.70 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) Product Specifications

It is eight years old.

It will support 64-bit Windows.

However, it is not supported on Windows 10:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/processors/000006105.html Intel® Processor Support for Microsoft Windows® 10

This does not mean that Windows 10 will not run. It will. But, you will be not be supported.

Regarding the rest of your configuration, 2gb memory is a bit low, even for 32-bit Windows in today's world.

80gb SSD, is fine, but you are constrained by storage. Again, today's world requires more.

Your graphics card and display are fine.

I have converted machines with configurations like yours to W10, 64-bit, and they work fine, That is, until Microsoft decides differently.

You can stay on 32-bit Windows 10 if you want. If you upgrade to W10, that is what you will have to do. If you do a clean install, you can move to 64-bit W10. However, your memory will then be an issue.

Doc
