Hi there,

The thermal spec for this processor is 64.5 deg.

Link 1:http://processorfinder.intel.com/details.aspx?sSpec=SL9UL

Link 2:http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=28028&processor=QX6700&spec-codes=SL9UL

If your processor is going above this temperature value, you may consider that it is over-heating. Please check if there is enough thermal paste and that the fan is working properly. Also check that there is proper ventilation in your pc casing. Check with your motherboard manufacturer if there are specific bios update or recommendation for the use of this particular processor.

Hope this will be useful.

Cheers.

I hope this is the correct forum. What is the operating thermal range for the QX6700 processor? I am concerned that the cpu is getting too hot but without that info, I have no real clue. My cpu temps range from 40c at cold boot to 60c + under load.

Thanks
