Hello wingman99,

Thank you for contacting the Intel community.

Thermal trip: the processor protects itself from catastrophic overheating by use of an Intel® thermal sensor. This sensor is set well above the normal operating temperature to ensure that there are no false trips. The processor will stop all execution when the junction temperature exceeds approximately 130°C.

This is signaled to the system by the THERMTRIP# signal.

You can check more information about your processor here:

http://ark.intel.com/products/90729/Intel-Core-i3-6100-Processor-3M-Cache-3_70-GHz http://ark.intel.com/products/90729/Intel-Core-i3-6100-Processor-3M-Cache-3_70-GHz

Also, you can check the https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/processors/core/3rd-gen-core-desktop-vol-1-datasheet.html Datasheet for more detailed information.

Best regards,

Ivan U.
