Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool PCH/PCH Enum Unsupported?

Hi Intel, I have concerns and questions about IPDT and some of tests...

Processor i7-5820K, Motherboard: Rampage 5 Extreme

All tests pass except

Front Side Bus Test - Unsupported

QPI Test - Not Tested

I special worry about these two tests:

PCH - Unsupported

PCH Enum - Unsupported

Can someone help and explain me, please?

Hello iFAN,

This processor does not have Front Side Bus. This is the an old technology that was included on old processors and this is the reason why the tool is reporting it is unsupported. In regards the QPI test, it is not test because this processor does not have QPI lanes so it is good.

The strange part is the PCH because this processor does have PCH and it should be tested. If the tool says it passed, then it should be okay but I also recommend you contacting our Support Center:

I know, I didn't worry because Front Side Bus. Reason why I worry is PCH and PCH Enum Test.

They should Pass and in my case they are Not Tested or Unsupported.

I don't know what to do and what can be problem?

I can't explain how much I worry because of this... I don't understand where can be problem.

I download and second IPDT zip files

And I copy files in IPDT installer and after that I got this message Not Tested.

Immediately when test start that PCH Test and PCH Enum test field as Empty others are marked as ready for testing and they Pass later.

I don't know why skip that two tests?

Hi iFAN,

Please update the chipset driver and install the latest BIOS version 1701 of your Asus Rampage 5 Extreme motherboard using Asus website:

Then, enable the PCH and PCH Enum tests of the Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool and run the application again.

Hi Intel...

I saw you released new version of IPDT software 3.0.0.25 W and I decide to check again.

Now everything PASS as you can see on picture...

My settings are

4.0 GHz CPU Clock

3.5 GHz Cache (NB) Frequency

CPU Voltage 1,150V - default

Cache Voltage - default

RAM 2666MHz Strap 100

Timmings 15-15-15-35 1T.
