Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool Fail

Hello,

I am having an issue with my I7 7700K processor - whenever I do the IPDT test it fails, and yes, I ran it as an administrator. I hope someone can help me with pointing out what's the cause of these issues.

Hi, sorry for the late response.

Here are the results of the SSU scan. Like I said, my CPU is constantly failing the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool test and I would like to find out why that is.

I was looking at the scan you attached and the configured clock speed for your memory is "3000 MHz". According to the memory specifications for yourhttps://ark.intel.com/products/97129/Intel-Core-i7-7700K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-4_50-GHz Intel® Core™ i7-7700K Processor, the memory supported is DDR4-2133/2400, DDR3L-1333/1600 @ 1.35V. You can try using a supported memory and run the test again.

Also, you can check the BIOS settings to make sure that overclocking is disabled; You might try resetting the BIOS settings to default values as well.

I hope these recommendations shed light on the issue you are having.

As far as I know I never had any issues overclocking my RAM to 3000Mhz and I was informed that it wouldn't cause any instability with my CPU?

Anyway, I've reset my PC and it seems to have fixed the problem, I now pass the Intep Processor Diagnostic test!
