I7 7700K compatibility

I were on "Top achat" in the computer maker. It seems that the Intel Core I7 7700K is not compatible with the ASUS MAXIMUS VIII RANGER motherboard, even if the socket is the 1151 .__.

Do you have an explication ? Is this I7 compatible ?

Is it good for a game computer ?

I would also caution you, if the newer processor is supported, to make certain that you do any required BIOS upgrades to the motherboard BEFORE you install the newer processor.
