Hello Chazz,

Let me help you with this.

Based on some information we have, the C600 series Chipset is compatible with the E5-26xx Series but it is important to say that in this family there are many processor models. The compatibility with between the motherboard and the processor (depending on the model) depends on the Computer Manufacture since they can set limitations when designing systems.

Hello, I posted this in Chipsets, but just in case, this question, I think, is valid in either post, and in case it's missed, is there a minimum C6XX chipset needed to use the 'new' v2 E5 10\12 core processors?

My system can run any of the 'first' generation E5 processors.

Thanks for any insight,

Chazz
