Hello Leonardo C.

I am just inquiring about this issue because I get a lot of stuttering while in games, and very steep frame rate drops in the likes of being playing with over 100 FPS and drop to the 20's or Less and then going up to 40's, 60's, and above and as far as I see it's not about having bottlenecks has my CPU keeps always below 50 % usage (the reason I upgraded in the first place) and the GPU's (and I tried with one and two and the problem remains in either cases) keep working above 96 % in 99% game time.

I have 2 x ASUS NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti's in SLI, but like said I also tried with only one of them.

I had no such issues with my old 3930K but clearly it was starting to show it's age with usages above 60 % in more recent games.

Thank you for your time

Cláudio

Hello Leonardo C.

I know this message comes a little bit off topic but I have been experience random blue screens of death ever since I upgraded my system back in March this year, and it has been a long battle to sort out their origin, but I could over the weekend debug and check that, I had a big problem with the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver and Intel Optane, to the point to windows no longer booting to the system but randomly my PC was resetting in all attempts, I had to use an Installation Media over USB to restore the system, only to get the same problem after restart. the only thing that seemed to fix the problem was deleting the RAID array and Intel Optane Configuration, then it worked flawlessly, and I re-created the Raid array and Optane Configuration (to second drive) and it has been working.

Any ideas will be most helpful,

Thank you

Cláudio

Just now I checked the technical specifications of Intel® Core™ i9-7920X X-series Processor

I found that 2.9Ghz is fixed at intel factory is called as processor base frequency .

at base frequency is limited to 2.9Ghz , but you can increase base frequency up to 4.3Ghz using Intel Extreme Tuning Utility XTU Version: 6.4.1.23 released on may 28th 2018

here is the direct downloading link

https://downloadmirror.intel.com/24075/eng/XTUSetup.exe https://downloadmirror.intel.com/24075/eng/XTUSetup.exe

use above software at your own risk , becarefull while making changes to frequency , it may leads to unbootable or processor gets corrupt \

I hope , with reply , you will come to exact reason
