What Is the fastest (Xeon 771 socket 771, or Core 2) processor for games will work better with my motheboard?

And which one is faster processor and good for twicking (overclocking speed up):

To be perfectly frank, none of these make any sense. You are talking about purchasing a 10-year old EOL processor to plug into a 10-year old EOL motherboard - a motherboard that will not support the graphics that you need for modern gaming. Talk about throwing good money after bad. You really need to recycle the whole mess and start anew.

P.S. If you really must do this, go for the Q9650. They have essentially similar performing but the Q9650 runs a lot cooler.

This is a newer version of the processor core, with a few additional capabilities and equivalent performance, so obvious choice to me.
