Hello all,

Vee, Doc is right. This processor does not support Windows® 10, you might be able to install it but from our there are no drivers available for Legacy products and Windows® 10. In this case, I recommend sticking with the supported operating systems which based of the date that your processor was released would be the following;

Windows XP

Windows Vista

Windows 7

Regards,

Amy.

It is not supported: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/processors/000006105.html Intel® Processor Support for Microsoft Windows® 10

However, that does not mean it will not run Windows 10.

It is a 10-year old processor: http://ark.intel.com/products/31733/Intel-Pentium-Processor-E2180-1M-Cache-2_00-GHz-800-MHz-FSB Intel® Pentium® Processor E2180 (1M Cache, 2.00 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) Product Specifications

So, the HP system is at least 10-years old. In my opinion, this is more trouble than it is worth, and it is in the age range where you can expect failures to start.

Doc

Thanks for the prompt reply.

Other than hard drive failures which I intend to replace), what other type of failures are you referring to.
