How to check whether intel processor I have is genuine?

I recently bought i7 7700 intel processor. I need to check whether that processor genuine. I want to know is there any tool to do that?

Then, I would run this: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/processors/000005567.html The Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool

After all of that, if I still had a doubt, I would probably return the processor.

Waruna, in addition to the information provided by Al, if you have the processor's box you can check the warranty status of your product.

Go to https://supporttickets.intel.com/warrantyinfo?lang=en-US Warranty Information
Under product type, select processor.
In the "FPO Number" field, please type the Batch number located on the white sticker on the box.
In "ATPO Serial Number" please type the S/N located on the same white sticker.
Click on "Check Products"

If the website shows the model number of your processor along with the approximated warranty expiration date, it means that is a valid Intel® Core™ i7-7700 Processor.

*Please don't share the FPO/ATPO combination in this thread.

Hello Waruna,

The tools will confirm the processor type and specs and http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/processors/000005567.html The Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool will tell you if it is a genuine Box or Tray processor.

However, it will not be a guarantee against a counterfeit unless the results differ from what you expected (i.e.: remarked processor).

The best way to confirm the processor's validity is with the FPO and ATPO Serial Number on the Warranty Center (provided above). This will validate the processor and the warranty options. For serial numbers not human-readable, you will have to rely on the Retail box.
