Intel Driver Update Utility: System.ArgumentException

Dear Intel community,

I would like to update my Intel Chipset Device software from version 6.3.9600.17238 to 10.0.24. My processor is the Intel Core i5-2400.

When I downloaded and installed the driver with the Update Utility, the program says that it failed updating, while the installers says it succeed. (What isn't correct.)

When I checked the program logs, I saw this error:

DriverUpdateUI.exe Error: 0 : Failed to install for driverId 24165

DriverUpdateUI.exe Error: 0 : System.ArgumentException: Proces with id 7164 couldn't be executed.

bij IDUUInstall.IDUUInstall.InstallDriver(DriverInfo di)

bij Driver_Manager.DriverManager.InstallDriver(Int32 driverID)

It's a developing mistake. I hope you can fix this System.ArgumentException, so I can update my Intel Chipset driver.

PS: I also tried manually installing the driver and that also didn't helped me out.

I build the computer and these are the specifications:

Motherboard - ASRock Z77 Extreme 4

Graphics card - AMD Radeon HD7950

RAM - 6 GB

I hope you know enough of the specifications I have.

hello now need for trouble i have same in registry is already new chipset it is overwritten the update tool dont show this you have new chipset okay

Guys,

Our Chipset driver is a generic one for OEM systems. This means that installing our generic driver may not work on your systems and that is why you should install the chipset driver provided by the Computer Manufacture.

i have same problem when update chipset in drivermanager all stays old but in registry the new chipset is recognized version 10.4 the newst

hello i accept this because microsoft chipset version stays in driver manager old but the chipset is in registry recognized as new version 10.... all is okay for me
