CPU soft-render supports.

I noticed that there were graphics drivers such as directx, vulkan graphics drivers for intel cpu cores and they allow cpu to do software renders. May I know if these cpus are able to support ray tracing APIs such as DXR and VKRay which are extension in DirectX and Vulkan APIs?

Thank you for posting on this Intel Community.

As you were saying, Intel® Graphics Controllers support DirectX*, Vulkan*, among other APIs.

Note: Supported APIs for Intel® Graphics Controllers

Now, to provide you with an accurate response about DirectX Raytracing (DXR) and Vulkan* Ray Tracing, we would like to have more information.

1. Are you developing software?

2. Are you using editing software or similar software?

3. Your system model, OS build number, etc.

Here you can use the Intel® System Support Utility (Intel® SSU), generate a report of your system configuration, and attach it to this thread.

1. Intel® SSU Download link

2. Open the application and click "Scan" to see system and device information. The Intel® SSU defaults to the "Summary View" on the output screen following the scan. Click the menu where it says "Summary" to change to "Detailed View".

3. To save your scan, click Next and click Save.
