iGPU in processors

Hi there;

I was looking at a motherboard in Asus.com website http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/P8P67_EVO/# CPUS http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/P8P67_EVO/# CPUS, in the "CPU support list" there're some lines like this:

Core i3-2100 (3.1G,L3:3M,iGPU,2C,HT,rev.Q0)

I was wondering if "iGPU" is a feature of intell's processor or it's a technical fault in Asus.com web site. by the way, I didn't find any "iGPU" item in the cpu features list.

oh yes, iGPU is technical feature in Intel's CPU which provide GPU processing unit for motherboards with built-in VGAs.

in fact those kind of motherboards does not provide anything but ports and traces to connect up the CPU feature. so if the CPU doesn't have that feature, there would be NO VGA output! and you'd need to buy a graphic card separately.
