    <description>&lt;P&gt;I have an ASUS f50 series notebook. it has a intel core 2 duo P8700. this is a link to the processor specs. &lt;A href="http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=37006"&gt;http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=37006&lt;/A&gt; &lt;A href="http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=37006"&gt;http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=37006&lt;/A&gt; now what is preventing me if any thing to upgrade it to another chip.? besides heating issues would it be possible to upgrade to a similar chip but faster. say a 3ghz or quad core?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I was looking at the mobile duo processers and found this one &lt;A href="http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=42599"&gt;http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=42599&lt;/A&gt; &lt;A href="http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=42599"&gt;http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=42599&lt;/A&gt; its a P9700, macthes the one i have now but its just faster. Can any one inform me about why more powerfull processer will or wont work. and what is the fastest i can put in this machine? thanks&lt;/P&gt;</description>
