Marks on brand new i7 processor

Good morning Intel,

I just received a brand new i7 10700k processor which I ordered through Amazon UK. The box came a little bit damaged and the seal was in place. My big worry is that the processor is showing some marks on top which I have never seen before.

It looks as if a small rectangular cooler had been placed on top. Surface is clean, it doesn't look like there was any thermal compound on them. Please have a look at the picture - any help will be really appreciated I really don't want to exchange the item

If there is any doubt, send it back for a replacement or refund.

Agree with Al; once you install it into a system, you are accepting it. I have never received a processor that was marked like this.
