Thank you very much, AlHill

I tried the installer you attached, it seems build at 2017.

Is it suitable for the latest CPU? such as the new CPU on 2019/2020？

It is for fedora 25 ( it was 2016), and seems working on Ubuntu 16.04 too, but not working on Ubuntu 20.04.

but i could not find any IPDT on Ubuntu...

i would like to do the CPU test on Ubuntu 20.04...

Hi sir,

Several years ago, maybe 2015/2016? I think there was a IPDT for Linux platform for CPU Diagnostic .

But current IPDT seems only for Windows system. Is that possible to provide IPDT for Linux?

Thank you very much.

Best Regards.

Wuxm, Thank you for posting in the Intel® Communities Support.

In reference to this scenario, as you mentioned, "there was a IPDT for Linux platform for CPU Diagnostic", that is correct, it used to be available on our official web site but it is not available anymore as you said it is currently available just for Windows*:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19792/Intel-Processor-Diagnostic-Tool

So, in this case, the best thing to do will be to get in contact directly with Linux support for them to confirm if they have a diagnostic application for the Intel® Processor that will work with your platform, the link below is for Linux forum support where you might be able to confirm if they have the tool that you are looking for:

https://www.linux.org/forums/

Any questions, please let me know.

Regards,

Albert R.

Intel Customer Support Technician

@Wuxm I do not know if this will help you. But, here goes.

Using the wayback machine, I was able to find this:

https://web.archive.org/web/20171114215744/https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19792/Intel-Processor-Diagnostic-Tool

Following the link for fedora, I got here:

https://web.archive.org/web/20171109145614/http://www.tcsscreening.com/files/users/IPDT_LiveUSB/index.html

From there, I went here:

https://web.archive.org/web/20170910220527/http://www.tcsscreening.com/files/users/IPDT_LiveUSB/installer/index.html

And, I clicked on Install64, and downloaded the 35mb installer, which I zipped and attached.

There are probably other files you need. I leave it to you to work that out.

Good luck.

thank you Alberto,

Seems no luck, no results found in https://www.linux.org/forums/.

Em,,, the way to test a CPU, it would be related to the hardware of CPU. just like some drivers of hardware.

Is it possible to build a new IPDT for Linux by others but not Intel itself? i think it is difficult.

Is Intel possible to consider providing a Linux IPDT ?

Thanks.
