Thank you for coming back. I was checking specifically on the Processor but can see why the motherboard might throw a spanner in the works. It's for a Dell R710.

Appreciated.

Good morning, i've been offered a test machine to play with and want to know if the Xeon E5620 processor is capable of running Windows 10 20H2? I can't seem to find any definitive answers on Google or any forums.

Thanks

Depends on your motherboard and what drivers are available.

Read this: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000055440/processors.html

As a point of note, i've installed Windows Server 2019 on the server with no problems. The only questionable point was the screen resolution but I found some Matrox drivers which provided more resolution options. So far so good!
