We want to develop a motherboard that will host an Intel® Atom® C3808 2.0 GHz 12 Cores or an Intel® Atom® C3508 1.6 GHz 4 Cores.
My question is whether to realize 4 x 10GbE SFP+, from the 4 x 10GBASE-KR or 4x2500BASE-X, we need to use a PHY?
Or we can directly connect these signals to the SFP+ cages?
The goal is to plug in single mode LR or multi mode SR transceivers.

Hello Mikaël

Thank you for posting in the Intel Community.

We understand that you are looking to develop a system using ntel® Atom® C3808 + SFP+,

We recommend working with your Intel field application engineer (FAE) on this kind of investigation/questions, in case you don’t have an FAE we recommend reaching out to your Intel® distributor for guidance on the FAE applications.

Hope this helps

Regards,

Leonardo C.

Intel Customer Support Technician
