Hello everyone.

My specs:

i3-6100

asus gtx 950

asus h110 m-c

8 Gb DDR4 2133 Mhz

PSU 450 Wt

My PC randomly reboots in some games. I tried to replace all components with the exception of CPU, and still have this issue, so I suppose the problem in CPU. I found some threads on reddit etc confirming this is not only my problem https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/3rk3yx/skylake_based_system_reboots_randomly_acpi_issue/ https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/3rk3yx/skylake_based_system_reboots_randomly_acpi_issue/ . I tried everything that people suggest to do in that threads and nothing helped.

So I have few questions:

1. Is there any known solution for this problem?

2. If not, can i replace my CPU on warranty? I ask this here because my local store keeps silence.

I'll be glad to get any help.

Hello Igor:

To answer your first question, in order to try to fix this problem, you can try the following:

Try a BIOS update to the latest version, you will need to check with ASUS directly about how to do that.

ASUS support site: http://www.asus.com/support/ http://www.asus.com/support/

ASUS support phone numbers: http://www.asus.com/us/support/CallUs http://www.asus.com/us/support/CallUs

Reinstall the drivers, specially the graphics drives, that in this case will belong to the video card, since the graphics of the processor are not being used, when you have a video card

Also, to rule out a problem with the video card itself, if you have the option of course, to test it with a different video card or to test it without a video card.

Also, to test it with just one memory stick, with all the sticks, in order to rule out a possible memory problem

Since you already replace all the components, except the processor, that indicates that it could be a problem with it, but if you have the option to test a different processor on that same board, we will be able to confirm that.

Besides that, this could be a problem with the processor itself, so, yes, to answer your second question, you do have 3 years of warranty and we can replace it for you.

In order to do that, please get in contact directly with us through chat, email online support or phone support, here is the link to do that:

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/contact-support.html# @12 http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/contact-support.html# @12

Alberto
