Intel Xeon E5-1607 3.0GHz CPU

I just got my computer and it's a refurbished model. It will not upgrade to windows 11 because the processor is not supported according to the compatibility check software Windows 11 installs and runs.

Can the processor be upgraded to a newer faster model?

What model would that be?

Where can it be purchased?

Is the installation easy enough or do I need to hire someone to do it for me?

Here's the rest of the specs on the computer.

HP Z420 Workstation Tower Workstation/ Studio / multi-tasking Rig
Intel Xeon E5-1607 3.0GHz CPU
64GB DDR3 Memory - 2TB HDD
Nvidia Quadro K4000 3GB (1x DVI & 2x Display Ports)
Windows 10 Professional 64-bit

If your HP is able to support an 8th gen processor or later, then yes, you can be upgraded. But, HP has to provide you with what processors are supported by their bios.

However, witth the age of your processor, I suspect not. Still, contact HP for verification.
