Hi ,

i have a 2600k and want to overclocked it , just because it's fun and these Cpu is made for it , with those unlocked multiplicator.

But i'm wonder wich voltages can i apply to him for a stable H24 settings .

Some people talk about 1.38v but i haven't see nothing from Intel about that .

I already make some benchmarks with him

5.33Ghz with 1.47v

He's fully Watercooled

But how much can i apply to be safe for the future for a regular Usage ?

Please keep in mind that although this processor is unlocked, we do not recommend over-clocking the processor above 3.8 GHz.

This is because that is the maximum tested speed that Intel can confirm that the processor will be running at a stable behavior.

If the processor is over-clocked above 3.8 GHz, the processor will be running out of specifications, so Intel cannot guarantee that the processor will be running at a stable behavior.

Also over-clocking the processor above 3.8 GHz will void the processor warranty.

Hi sir ,

Yes i fully understand that the garantee is not available if this processor is overclocked , but the garantee is not necessary for me

if these cpu is broken i can buy a new one .

I just want to know , wich voltage is "acceptable" for this processor .

The datasheets of other processor show the VID max exemple 0.85v to 1.45v

But i can't find the VID range for the Sandy Bridge 2600k.

Some people say 1.38v maximum , is it right ?

The VID for this processor is 1.52 Volts

I can now overclock my Cpu safely under the maximum VID range
