Hello adb

Thank you for posting on the Intel️® communities. Did you check with Dell if your system supports Windows 11*? For OEM systems you have to verify with them first before you complete the upgrade or if you experience any issues during the installation process. If you did not, please check with them TPM 2.0 availability.

Regards,

David G

Intel Customer Support Technician

Regarding Intel PTT

Hello, I have an Dell Inspiron 3471 which has a Core i5-9400. My computer has a TPM chip and the TPM version is 2.0 .The TPM is a ftpm or a firmware TPM ( or otherwise known as PTT or Intel Platform trust technology according to Intel.). So, when I run the Windows 11 Media creation tool in oder to upgrade to Windows 11 it shows it is showing that my PC does have the minimum hardware requirements to run Windows 11. I cannot understand what is happening. I have a CPU that is already supported by Windows 11(according to the official Microsoft Windows 11 CPU requirments page.) and my PC also have TPM 2.0 chip. So I ran the PC Health Check app from Microsoft and it say that my CPU is supported but it say that it cannot find a TPM 2.0 chip. So, i entered the computer's BIOS to enable my TPM and I was shocked. There is says that the TPM is enabled and visible to my operating system. So, I fully reset my BIOS ant TPM but the problem still persists. It is still showing that my PC cannot upgrade to Windows 11 because it cannot detect any TPM chip. But in the BIOS it is showing TPM or PTT is eneabled. I cannot understand that why Windows cannot detect my TPM.

I have checked Dell's website and there they say that my system has TPM 2.0 chip and the system is capable of running Windows 11. Also PTT is enabled in the BIOS.
