Hi folks.

I have an

E8500 Socket 775 3.166GHz 6MB Cache 1333MHz FSB Wolfdale Core (G33)

When I check for updating to Windows 11 I'm told this is not compatible.

Is this correct? I'll be surprised if this is true.

That is correct. You cannot upgrade your processor (from 2008), or find a processor for that socket, that will be on the Windows 11 supported list.

You need to have an 8th gen processor or later to be on windows 11.
