i am using hp elitebook 8460p with Intel Core i5-2520M Processor, Sockets Supported-PPGA988 ,i want upgrade with Intel Core i7-2820QM 2.3GHz Mobile Processor (BX80627I72820QM) will it support my laptop ?

You will need to ask HP if their bios supports the i7-2820QM.

In my opinion, it makes no sense to attempt to upgrade a laptop this old.
