Memory Compatibility

Hi everybody. Please, I need to know the following. I have a Intel Core i3-1115G4 notebook by Samsung (Samsung Book - Windows 11 Home - Intel® Core™ i3 - 8GB - 256GB de SSD). It comes with 2 memory slots (1 has 8GB DDR4-2666MHZ). This machine accepts 32GB memory usage. What I want to known is If I can add a 16GB DDR4-2400MHZ module. The machine will turn on and run using the lower frequence (2400MHZ)? I asked the manufacturer but I didn't received a end point answer (yes or no for sure).

Thanks,

Alexandre M.
