Hi! I just built a PC with CPU: 12900KS, MOB: ASUS ROG Z690 F GAMING WIFI and COOLER: Corsair iCUE H170i Elite LCD, PSU: Corsair HX 1200W, G-Skill Trident Z5 RGB DDR5-6400 CL32-39-39-102 1.40V 32GB (2x16GB) on XMP 1 (because XMP 2 gave blue screens while testing in memtest 64). BIOS is the latest version.

So my questions are if it's normal to get 90-95 temperatures while doing the stability test in AIDA 64 (default settings) and also I am getting CPU throttling - overheating detected + Hardware failure after some minutes.

Also in Event viewer I have this warnings: Event 219 kernel-pnp, Event 37 kernel-processor-power, Event 17 WHEA-logger. I dont have any clue about these warnings, i dont know what is causing them and what can be done to solve them.

Any help/advice it s highly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Before you blame it on the processor:

Update your bios
Run IPDT: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005567/processors.html

So I run the test, everything PASS. The CPU had like between 83-93 temperatures while testing. But again... in Event viewer I have this warnings: Event 219 kernel-pnp, Event 37 kernel-processor-power, Event 17 WHEA-logger. I dont have any clue about these warnings, i dont know what is causing them and what can be done to solve them.

You can look up these events yourself. Also, trying to "solve" these events is likely not worth the effort.

If you are going to build a PC, it is more than just bolting together equipment.

The processor passed the diagnostic. It is time for you to consider how all of your components work together.

I managed to solve all of the warnings without Event 37, I saw it s caused by SpeedStep Technology and I think I ll not disable it because the CPU might overheat if I am not wrong?

Also should I change Core Parcking to 100% (to enable all the cores) or what percentege of the cores should I enable? thanks

It is important to mention that it is recommended to use the processor at stock configurations with the default BIOS settings. That way SpeedStep Technology will be enabled/disabled depending on the default BIOS setting,s and it will be the same for the percentage of the cores that should be activated.

In order to confirm how to reset the BIOS settings to default values and make sure that the latest BIOS version is currently installed, please get in contact directly with ASUS since they handle all the support for the BIOS of their board:
