Hello,

I've been having a lot of BSOD issues with my PC. I did a reinstall of windows and it still happens. I have this issue in the device manager:

I am not sure if those could be related to my BSOD issues. But I'd like to get the correct drivers loaded either way.

I downloaded "Intel Driver & Support Assistant" but it says my machine is up to date... I'm running Windows10. The BSOD is normally coming from:

ExceptionAddress: fffff801364c14fa (dxgmms2!VidSchiCheckNodeTimeout+0x00000000000000aa)
 ExceptionCode: c0000005 (Access violation)

Which I think is something with DirectX. I do have a Nvidia graphics card in this system and don't use the on-board graphics capabilities of the Intel chip.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Install the chipset inf.

And, check your memory.

Thanks for the reply AlHill. Do you know where I can locate the chipset inf? When you say 'check your memory'. . . I did download and run a ram test. I booted to it from a usb drive, though I forget the name of it now. I'm guessing you are thinking perhaps this issue is a hardware issue with the memory modules? Can I ask what is making you think that? I had 16GB of RAM in this PC, I took half out. Still have the issue.

The memory was a weird config though, it has 2 sticks that do 8GB or RAM, and one stick for another 8... So I took the one stick out as I thought maybe that was causing a weird timing issue or something...

I do have WinDBG loaded and the memory.dmp handy if anything in that is useful...

Thanks for any continued help!

- Craig

Your motherboard manufacturer should have the chipset inf on their support page for your board.
