Hello,

my question is, does the Intel Core i7-12700K support also PCIe 3.0? Because in the docs, they this processor modell supports Gen 4 and 5.

The reason why i am asking is that i want to buy a xilinx accelerator card which supports Gen4 and Gen3.

Thanks in advice!

Hello Mirhad,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

The PCIe 4.0 is forward and backward compatible, so you will be able to use it, but the card will perform with the 3.0 specifications.

Best regards,

Steven G.

Intel Customer Support Technician.
