What processor do I have?

Greetings,

I need to find out what processor I actually have:

the markings on the unit are; Intel i3 2188 SR85C @3.18GHz - 3136A933

It came out of a Gigabyte GA-H61M-D52 motherboard, so I know that it is a socket LGA1155 form factor, and that it matches an Intel H61 chipset.

intel's processor list completely skirts the model no. , and every motherboard compatibility chart I check just does not list it.

Is this supposed to be a special expression of a more basic Intel CPU family?

Any direction would be so helpful, thank you in advance.

I suspect this is your processor:

Depending on the font used, the number 0 can be displayed as a 0 with a slash through it and should not be confused with 8.

i3-2188 is i3-2100

3.18 GHZ is 3.10 GHz

SR85C is SR05C

The socket is LGA1155.

It can use the H61 Chipset.

And, your motherboard is GA-H61M-DS2, not GA-H61M-D52. You have mistaken a S for a 5.

And, the i3-2100 is a supported processor on your board:
