i have a 10750H i7 that spikes up to 95C when opening a program ,chrome tab ...

and get that same temp whyle gaming depending on the game if i use max fans i can get down to 80 70C but thats too anoying

the cpu works normally up to its max freaquency

my question is what would happen to my cpu if i either :

Disable turbo boost

or just down clock in throttlestop

besides getting lower performance i want to know if this affect my cpu lifespan

Or if you think that my laptop can support consistant 5h of 95C without catching fire or melting i can set silent mode in msi dragon center and keep using it (((((((((i know that it will explode so forget this)))))))

I am sorry to hear what is happening with your laptop, I will do my best to assist you here.

Please take in mind that these temps may be expected as we are talking about a laptop system, which as per hardware design, most of the time has higher temperatures than a Desktop system, especially if you use it for gaming. Also, the processor can go up to 100C degrees.

Does these temperature spikes are causing any kind of BSODs or crashes?

Intel® Turbo Boost Technology won't cause the system to get too hot as the core performance increases in power, temperature, and specification limits of the thermal design power (TDP). Sometimes, when Intel® Turbo Boost Technology is running, the system fan may run at a faster speed, which is normal when boosting the processor frequency. Ensure the processor is working within the power, temperature, and specification limits of the thermal design power (TDP). You can verify this in this article: Overview Information for Intel® Turbo Boost Technology.

Besides that, even if you disable Turbo boost or downclock the processor, that doesn't guarantee that the processor will not heat up since it’s a laptop, as previously mentioned, these temps are kind of expected. Note: Please make sure to use the processor within its specifications if you decide to downclock the processor, as using it below or above its specifications can reduce its useful life and void the manufacturer's warranty.

i dont get any BSOD

the systhem runs fine

and when i disable turbo boost either in control panel by makong 99% in cpu powre setting or bios itself i do get lower temp up 40C

On the specification limists :

in throttlestop i saw that when i satrted a game power consumption got up to 51 then the cpu throttled because it was 98C and got it self down to 90C 95C

Thank you for your reply and confirmation, I am glad to hear that you are not getting BSODs or crashes.

Regarding the information you mentioned, we are not aware of the information provided by a third-party app like Throttlestop or if it is accurate, I will try to do some research about this.

There are a few tools like HWinfo, HWMonitor, AIDA64, and a few articles on the website you can use: 11 BEST CPU Temp Monitor Tools: PC Temperature Monitor 2023

Those are not Intel official tools and can get different results from each other, however, we can rely on those tools for a measure, however, you are not presenting any performance issues (such as BSODs, crashes, etc.), is not considered an issue, there is nothing to actually be worried.

As previously mentioned, the processor can go up to 100C degrees, high temperatures are expected, especially under heavy workload. If you still thinks there is something unusual with your laptop, contact your System Manufacturer for additional assistance and check the life status of other components.
