Hi,

Why does Intel not provided APO Support for the 12th Gen or 13th Gen CPUs like the 13700K or 13900k?

I understand, that there is no technical reason for this. This is truly a new low if this is really true.

I'm a buyer of Intel CPUs since decades. But with this policy INTEL is just pushing users to AMD.

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

As you can check in the Intel® Application Optimization Overview article, this utility was created along with the new 14th-generation processors. Settings within Intel® Application Optimization are custom-determined for each supported processor, as they consider the number of P-cores, E-cores, and Intel® Hyperthreading Technology.

However, I understand your discomfort about it from a consumer's point of view, so I have submitted your feedback to the proper team in charge for more visibility.

I have purchased a 12700K and 12900K and built systems for my own use on both in the last 18 months. These are not inexpensive products. Please add APO support to the 12th and 13th generation customers who have helped make Alder Lake and Raptor Lake successful product lines. Even if you want to offer 14th-generation exclusivity for a certain window to drive purchases, we know this is a software-enabled feature and the work has already been done to improve performance for your customers. 15th and 16th gen i-Series CPU platforms will be the upgrade path we will end up on, and that's not far away. AM5 will likely still be there as an option. Customers remember these things.

I bought both a 12900KS and then a 13900KS as well. Please add APO support for 12th and 13th gen for all of us customers who have supported Intel by buying their products. 13th Gen especially shouldn't require much adjustment to the current configure, if any.

This reminds me the situation with upscaling which Nvidia said would not work with older GPUs.

But then AMD releases something that does not work perfectly yet, but works with older video cards.

You did this on purpose. And it does not give you honor.

All of these generations are very similar especially since they share exact same socket.

Yup, sold my 4090 for a 7900xt because NVidia is getting quite sleezy. Now intel is doing the same. How is intel going to release something mainstream and not support it aka 12th and 13th gen e-cores? I guess I'm done with intel too and it's probably for the best, seeing how Intel's best innovation is giving 12th and 13th gen owners the middle finger.

C'est une honte pour vos client qui possèdent un 12 900k et un 13 900k.. il serait temps d'arrêter de prendre vos clients pour des imbéciles. Vous pouvez intégrer le logiciel à ces versions. Vous allez perdre des clients (moi y compris) , si vous continuez sur cette lancée.
