High temperature i7-14700KF at idle (no load)

Processor i7-14700KF paired with good water cooling Li Galahad 2 Trinity at idle about 45 degrees (browser and a couple of programs, while the cooler runs +- 1000 rpm). In games it's about 70-80 degrees. In stress tests 90-95 degrees. Is there something wrong with the stone? 🤷‍♂ The case is open, there are many coolers. ROG STRIX Z790-A GAMING WIFI II motherboard, video card ASUS PCI-Ex GeForce RTX 4080 ROG Strix, MSI MPG 1000W power supply. I would be grateful for any hint or advice on what to try.

I understand your concern about the processor temperatures.

However, those idle and workload temperatures are expected and normal values, the processor can go up to 100°C degrees per its specifications. Also, it is expected behavior that the processor has higher temperatures while running workloads, like games or stress tests, as these put the processor under heavy cycles or processes.

Are you having crashes or any other performance issues due to these temperatures?

I'm interested in the temperature not under load, isn't it too high when paired with a good 3-section dropsy?

Maybe something is wrong with the voltage, with the power supply, so the processor gets hot?

cooling and airflow are ok, coolers operate at an average of 700 rpm

Those are expected and normal temperatures, the processor can go up to 100°C degrees per its specifications. Intel processors constantly monitor their temperature and can rapidly adjust their frequency and power consumption to prevent overheating and damage. This is specified in the article Seeing Temperature Spikes when Playing Games on Systems with Intel® Core™ Processors

What is exactly bothering you? Do you have BSODs or any other performance issues?

We can test the processor with official Intel tools, but the processor is not overheating if that data is accurate.
