      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your help, I tried something last night and it worked, thanks again for your help.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The problem was: Virtual Desktop, but nothing was showing under Display adapters. I then turned off Windows Virtual Machine settings under 'Turn Windows features on or off' and APO worked fine.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;İn your that&amp;nbsp;article "Error: "Failed To Connect" While Opening Intel® Application Optimization" noting about windows Virtual Machine.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

We're glad to hear that the issue has been resolved after disabling the Windows Virtual Machine settings under 'Turn Windows features on or off'. Please re-visit the article &lt;A href="https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000097206/processors/intel-core-processors.html#:~:text=Some%20remote%20or%20virtual%20desktop%20applications%20may%20also%20trigger%20the%20error%20message%20due%20to%20a%20known%20issue%20that%20will%20be%20addressed%20in%20the%20next%20release.%C2%A0" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Error: "Failed To Connect" While Opening Intel® Application Optimization,&lt;/STRONG&gt; &lt;/A&gt;as it did mention &lt;EM&gt;remote or virtual desktop applications &lt;/EM&gt;that&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;EM&gt; may also trigger the error message due to a known issue that will be addressed in the next release.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We highly appreciate your sharing where to &lt;EM&gt;turn off Windows Virtual Machine settings under 'Turn Windows features on or off'&lt;/EM&gt; where the Intel® Application Optimization (Intel® APO) worked fine.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We will proceed in closing this thread.
