    <description>&lt;P&gt;That's a good question -- for HP, not Intel.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In order for a processor to be upgraded,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;The existing processor must be socketed. Many laptops do not socket their processors, making them almost impossible to replace.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;The new processor must be supported by the motherboard's power, cooling and BIOS subsystems.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;Only the manufacturer of the motherboard can answer (all of) these questions.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;...S&lt;/P&gt;</description>
