Hello pom_chilling,

Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.

This is an OEM device (MSI GF72 - 8RE) with driver issues and is best raised with your system manufacturer support team. They would know what exact drivers are needed to address the issues you have, especially since you had a recent components upgrade (SSD and RAM) and an issue with the system fan (speeding).

You may also download the OEM drivers from this link:

https://www.msi.com/Laptop/GF72-8RE/support

Feel free to let me know if you have questions or need clarification.

Best regards,

drivers missing

I dont know, if this is the right forum for my question. So please excuse me.

I have found 4 devices in my device manager without driver. They are:

8086 - A379 - Cannon Lake PCH Thermal Controller

8086 - A324 - Cannon Lake PCH SPI Controller

8086 - A328 - Cannon Lake PCH Serial IO UART Host Controller

and one last, where the id detail says "ACPI\VEN_ENE&DEV_0110

Is it somehow possible to find drivers for them?

I already tried the intel driver support assistent. I also looked on the website of my laptop to see if I could find drivers there. But I am a little bit afrais to istall any of them, because I dont know which. Also they are very old (2018) and I would not want to destroy anything by installing old drivers.

Modell name of Computer: MSI GF72 - 8RE

I dont know what these devices are. but I do know, that the Laptop had some issues since 2019. I did not use it much. I installed a ssd and upgraded the ram recently and would like to find and eliminate any issues. I can not control the speed of the fans with any program I tried for example
