I am wanting to know what is using root port #2 - 7A39 I can only see the root port in windows device manager and it is giving me hundreds of WHEA errors every second.

I have added some screen shots for more info and so far the only way for me to stop these errors is to disable PCI Express native power management.

I don't think there is any performance loss doing this but maybe the system uses more power I am not sure but I am curious why I am getting all of these errors and since the error is tracing back to the Intel chipset root port #2 I am hoping someone from Intel or anyone who knows more can help.

Hello, @UserMac.

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

I am sorry to hear what is happening with your PC, I will gladly assist you here.

The PCI Express Root port is a part of your motherboard drivers that allows you to connect and access devices to your PC in an efficient, faster, and reliable manner.

Have you installed the chipset driver for your motherboard? This can be found on your Motherboard Manufacturer's website.

Best regards,

Jocelyn M.

Intel Customer Support Technician.

I have all the motherboard drivers installed they are all up to date the screen shot shows all current Versions installed I have also used

Intel ME MEUpdateTool Version 16.1.25.2020 and the Bios is up to date also. see screen shot.

But my main question from my op is what device is being used on root port #2 - 7A39 what ever device is connected to that port is giving me WHEA Errors so it would be helpful to know what device that is. I understand the root port is part of the motherboard but it is also labelled and the drivers for that are still intel drivers just they are distributed with the motherboard drivers at least that is what I am under the impression.
