I repeat the previous comment: The MEI driver is usually supplied by the motherboard manufacturer; Intel does not normally publish generic ones on their site. Check your motherboard manufacturer's website.

...S

Hello everyone,

I’m looking for the latest Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) drivers for my Skylake CPU (i7-6700K). I’ve noticed that the official Intel driver download page only lists MEI drivers starting from the 7th generation and does not provide the drivers for the 6th generation.

Could anyone help me find the latest supported MEI drivers for Skylake? Additionally, what was the last version that officially supported Skylake CPUs? Any guidance or links to reliable sources would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

These drivers were normally supplied by the manufacturer of your motherboard. Is there a support site available for the board that lists drivers?

Yes, I have an Asus Z170-Pro motherboard, but there's only this driver available, which seems quite outdated:

Management Engine Interface
Version 11.7.0.1040
86.56 MB
2017/11/01

I think your board came out in 2015. Board manufacturers generally only offer driver and BIOS updates for 2 to 3 years so not having any further driver or BIOS updates beyond 2017 to 2018 is normal. MEI 11.7.0.1040 was important because it fixed a security issue. Other than installing this if you have not already done so, together with the Intel Chipset Driver 10.1.1.44 and the latest BIOS 3801 there is nothing further you can do to update your system.

I would like to point out that Intel does indeed publish Management Engine drivers, as can be seen in the following link:

https://www.intel.de/content/www/de/de/download/682431/intel-management-engine-drivers-for-windows-10-and-windows-11.html

Therefore, I would like to know what the latest version is that supports the 6th generation (Skylake).

Now, in my driver archive, I have version 16.0.15.1545, which seems to have (at least at the INF level) support for SKL/SPT. I have placed a copy of this package into my OneDrive (here: ME_Consumer-Win10_Win11-16.0.15.1545.zip). Give it a try and see if it works.

...S
