My CPU is i7-13700KF, and I've only been using it for a year. Why are my CPU-Z benchmark scores so low? I saw others online achieving at least 12000+ for "Multi" and 800+ for "Single." Moreover, my CPU runs at an extremely high temperature, almost constantly above 90°C when gaming。

You are using quite an old release of CPU-Z. The current release is 2.12 - try running that. The scores do look on the low side, a single thread score of around 870 would be more typical, as would something like 12600 for multi thread.

What motherboard are you using? What BIOS version? Is the BIOS set to default settings? Have you installed all the latest drivers from the board manufacturers support site particularly Intel chipset and Intel ME drivers.

My motherboard is the MSI Z790-P. I have already updated to the latest BIOS, and the settings are set to default. Everything else is also updated to the latest versions. However, the issue remains the same. My CPU cooler is the DEEPCOOL LS720 (360mm).

The CPU is showing a maximum P-core frequency of 2.5GHz which is too low. It might be worth using the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool and seeing what that says - it can be downloaded from here .

The results show that the base frequency of the 13700KF of 3.40GHz was tested and found to be correct. Why the CPU is limited to 2.5GHz in other scenarios is not clear.

Thank you very much. I found the problem. It's because the BIOS is set in energy-saving mode, which controls the CPU to 2.5Ghz.
