I have a SATA SSD installed in my Lenovo P52 which also has the i7-8759H processor and it also was having issue. This machine has dual M.2 slots so I can test a wide range of storage on it.

The machine also has dual M.2 installed so I can test both for boot etc. The SATA is seen as drive 0 in the UEFI so this enumerated like older machines.

My Dell XPS 9570 has an i7-8750H CPU and with the turbo boost on it fails to boot windows properly. Disabling it in the UEFI/BIOS and the machine runs fine.

So it seems that the turbo boost is too aggressive and it causes Windows to crash

No way to adjust the CPU to stay in a better stable zone

I discovered the problem was M.2 SSD related as new SSD logic was procured for testing and it was found to resolve the issue.

WDC updates the firmware for the SN580 2TB I own and now it works properly.

I have tested several makes and models of SSD and it is eye opening as to which ones work with Windows 11 24H2 or not.

I suggest if a Skylake or better machine is not working adequately look to the SSD

I only use Coffee Lake or better myself as I divested of older machines in favor of machines with M.2 SSD slots
