11700K/11900K latest stepping/revision

Hi,
I'm building a new 11th Gen PC for software development and occasional gaming. By new I mean not used or renewed parts, I can't deal with the compatibility issues of new hybrid architecthure and so, 11th Gen now

I just need to know the latest stepping and revision of produced 11700K and 11900K so get the latest build.

Please someone tell me what's their newest builds.

Also before installing the CPU, where can I find the stepping/revision numbers on the box or CPU itself?
The last line printed on CPU contains a code following by 2 chars in a circle, is that a clue?

BTW, I know it can get updated by Intel ME/BIOS update, but that will come at the cost of small performance degreation, so now I have the option to get the newest version if I know it.

Hi Auramahr,

Stepping code is created for the Intel Processor when there is an improvement in the manufacturing process or if a feature has been fixed or removed. For example, in i7-7700K (B0), B0 refers to the stepping code.

It can be found on the product specification page under the Ordering and Compliance section. The field is called Stepping.

Hi and thanks for the valuable info.
Although still don't know about revision of Intel 11th Gen CPUs.

But please inform me that an example 11700K Tray CPU has this printed in the last line:

X051L682 and then inside a circle: e4

How to read that and find the stepping without testing the CPU itself?

Ive found this:
Seems the starting X is for Vietnam
The 2nd digit 0 is for 2020?
No way since 11700K was released on March 2021.
Ok 51th week of the year?
So how to determine the stepping from the date?
I mean from which date they are stepping B0.
And related to the e4 inside the circle?

The stepping that you can see on the ARK page Intel ARK is the latest one in production.-[https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/212325/intel-core-i911900k-processor-16m-cache-up-to-5-30-ghz/ordering.html]

Sometimes, there might be more than one stepping available. In such cases, you can check the PCN (Product Change Notification) document to find out which one is the latest.

If you have information about the stepping, the production date does not significantly matter, as the process quality remains the same.
