Intel XTU doesn't show "Overclocking Thermal Velocity Boost" option on newer versions

I have MSI MPG Z490M GAMING EDGE WIFI motherboard and i9-10900kf proccessor. When I am installing XTU versions from 7.3.0.33 to 7.8.1.20 the program shows "Overclocking Thermal Velocity Boost" option and allow to fully customize TVB temps and frequencies. But on all higher versions from 7.9.1.3 to last 7.14.2.14 there is only enable/disable "Thermal Velocity Boost" option, it doesn't allow to customize TVB temps and frequencies.

Thank you for posting on Intel Community Forum.

I understand that you have some concerns about the "Thermal Velocity Boost" on Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility wherein it does not allow you to customize TVB temps and frequencies when using the newer versions. We have replicated this using the latest version 7.14.2.14 and we were able to customize and adjust the settings.

For us to have a wider view of the issue, please share the information below.

Hi Carborunda,

Thank you for sharing a screenshot of what you are seeing with both versions. This information will really help us in finding out a resolution.

For further troubleshooting, please try to follow the recommendations below.

1. Make sure that the BIOS is set to default settings

2. Perform a clean installation of the XTU

- To perform a clean install of the Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility (XTU), follow these steps:

First, uninstall the existing Intel® XTU by following the guidelines provided in the uninstallation article.
After uninstalling, reboot your system to ensure all components are removed.
Next, download the latest version of Intel® XTU from the official Intel website.
Before installing, ensure that you have the latest BIOS version installed on your system. You may need to contact your motherboard manufacturer for assistance.
During the installation, admin permissions are required. If you encounter issues, you may need to manually delete the directory located at c:\program files\Intel\Intel(R) Extreme Tuning Utility, being careful not to delete other program folders.
If problems persist, consider updating Windows or performing a fresh installation of Windows.

I would also like to share with you the result of our replication. During the replication, we were able to see the same settings that you are seeing with the old version 7.8.1.20. Please see the attached photo below.

I tried the steps you mentioned multiple times, it didn't help. Win11 23H2, all updates and drivers installed, latest BIOS.

Thank you for your efforts in implementing the recommendations. I would like to confirm a detail with you. Upon reviewing the second photo you attached, which shows XTU version 7.14.2.14, it appears there are additional options at the bottom of the screen. Could you please scroll down to check if the options to adjust temperatures and frequencies are available?

I am writing to follow up on the recent investigation. Despite our efforts to replicate the issue in our test lab, we were unable to reproduce the problem you are experiencing. This issue may be related to your motherboard, and we recommend contacting the motherboard manufacturer, as it could be a BIOS restriction from the OEM.
