Hello to the hardworking Intel team

I have a computer with the following specifications and when I try to enable the XMP profile for the RAM, I cannot enter Windows and I have to go back to the BIOS and reset the RAM frequency, the motherboard BIOS has also been updated, but the problem persists.

Asus Prime B760 Plus D5
Intel Core i5 13400
Ram 16*1 Gskill Ripjaws S5 5200MHz CL40

Please share the details with me below so I can address this concern correctly.

1. What RAM frequency are you trying to use?

2. Was this working fine before or is this the first integration?

3. Are you able to use the system normally after resetting the RAM frequency?

Additionally, to have a better understanding of your system configuration and components please generate System Support Utility (SSU) report. Please follow instructions here and send the report - How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*

I apologize for the delay in responding.

1. I want to use the maximum RAM frequency capability given my computer specifications and in a state where it will not harm the system

2. It is working fine both before and now but I cannot increase the frequency

3. Yes, I have no problem after resetting the RAM settings

It seems that there is a mismatch between the components of my computer in the RAM and the motherboard and processor. Another friend of mine has the same parts and the same problem.

Hi TheMRM,

Thank you for answering the questions. For me to investigate this matter further, I'll need to know what RAM frequency are you using that causes the system to have an issue. Additionally, the recommended frequency that your processor (i5 13400) can handle is Up to DDR5 4800 MT/s and Up to DDR4 3200 MT/s. Since your RAM is up to 5200MHz, I recommend setting it only to the recommended specification of the processor. Please make sure to not exceed the processor supported specifications as it may void your warranty.

Currently I am using the default frequency of 4000 and when I want to use 4800 I encounter a problem and the computer does not boot. My problem is that I bought RAM according to the frequency that the processor and motherboard provide in their specifications, but I cannot change the RAM frequency and this is a big problem. RAM with a frequency of 5200 means that I can also have a frequency of 4800.

For further troubleshooting, please try to follow the steps below.

1. Try swap testing the RAM to further isolate the issue

2. Try the RAM on all the slots

3. Clear CMOS

4. Update the BIOS to the latest version 1805

5. Check with the motherboard manufacturer to see if you there is a configuration that you should follow.

I apologize for the delay in responding. Unfortunately, my uncle passed away and I was unable to contact you. Apparently, my friend managed to use the ?!?!? feature by updating the motherboard BIOS. Thank you.
