Bonjour,

Ce matin, j'ai suivi un tutoriel qui était sensé augmenter les performances de mon ordinateur.

Il me disait de faire Win+R, taper msconfig, puis d'aller dans "démarrer", puis "options avancées", de cocher "nombre de processeur" et de mettre au maximum, donc 8 pour moi. Après cela, j'ai redémarré mon ordinateur et après redémarrage, j'ai remarqué une énorme baisse de performance de mon ordinateur. J'ai voulu remettre par défaut en décochant la case "nombre de processeur", mais ils ne me proposait plus de redémarrer l'ordinateur. Les performances sont toujours aussi faibles. Pouvez-vous m'aider ?

On the BOOT Advanced Options screen clear the Number of processors option. This does not change the number of processors currently selected. Then press OK.

This will take you to the System Configuration screen, press Apply.

On the same screen, the Apply button will grey out once pressed. Press OK.

This will take you to the System Configuration, Restart options screen. If Restart is pressed the computer will then boot up with the default number of processors. This number is the physical cores count plus a virtual core for each physical core if hyper-threading is active.

J'avais déjà effectué tout cela, sauf que Msconfig ne me propose pas de redémarrer l'ordinateur, comme il l'a fait pour vous.

Does restarting the computer anyway without the options screen work? It should, because the procedure is setting a boot option that should apply the next time the computer is restarted or booted, regardless of how or when that is done.

Oui, le redémarrage manuel marche, mais j'ai l'impression de ne pas avoir retrouvé les performances que j'avais avant.

Thank you for raising this issue with the Intel community about your processor number. For me to support you further, kindly provide an SSU result for me to check your system information. And also kindly provide a screenshot of the task manager for me to check the performance of your CPU.

How to provide the task manager of the CPU.

Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and select Task Manager.
Click Performance.
Click CPU.
Check the cores number.
Check logical processors number (threads).

Steps to provide SSU:

• Intel® System Support Utility for Windows*

When the download is complete, launch SSU.exe.

1. Scan: Check the box Everything.

2. Click Scan.

3. Review: When finished scanning, click Next.

4. Click Save.
