I also did a stress test with AIDA 64 Extreme and I'm getting CPU Throttling (Max 66%)...

Hi, Mister-T.

Thank you for sharing your system specifications and reaching out to our Community. Regarding your concern about high CPU temperatures (93°C) during file compression and decompression on your Intel Core Ultra 9 285K, the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K is a high-performance CPU, and it is normal for temperatures to rise under heavy workloads like file compression. However, 93°C is on the high side, and if sustained, it could lead to thermal throttling, reducing performance. I see that your AIDA64 Extreme stress test shows CPU throttling at 66%, which suggests thermal limitations. This could be due to Insufficient cooling or airflow issues. You mentioned using the Corsair Link Titan 360 RX. Is the cooler properly mounted with adequate thermal paste applied? Are the fans and pump functioning correctly? During file compression/decompression, how much CPU usage do you observe in Task Manager or a monitoring tool like HWMonitor? Is your motherboard running the latest BIOS version? Some updates may contain optimizations for thermal performance. Providing these details will help me determine whether the issue is related to cooling, power settings, or a possible hardware/software conflict.

Have a nice day!

Best regards,

Von M.

Intel Customer Support Technician
