Hi,

Can someone from Intel here list a changes or improvements made to new CPU microcode 0x12C which is now rolling out to 13/14th gen Raptor Lake?

Does new 0x12C microcode related to Intel Raptor Lake instability new fixes or its some other or its just new vulnerability security fix update?

Why Intel not released any official statement on 0x12C?

How official intel answer can be like "we dont know what this microcode is"?

If this is your product and its Intel microcode which was officialy released to motherboard vendors then you should provide what changes it makes.

Can you please ask someone in Intel who can explain what is 0x12C microcode and provide at least minimal information regarding what changes/improvements/fixes are made compared to previous 0x12B microcode.

Focus of the Update:
Microcode 0x12C, released in late March 2025, addresses issues related to the eTVB algorithm and high voltage requests by the processor, specifically for Intel's 13th and 14th generation CPUs.
What it fixes:
eTVB Algorithm Issue: Microcode 0x125 (June 2024) addressed an issue with the eTVB algorithm, where the SVID algorithm was requesting high voltages at a frequency and duration which could cause Vmin shift.

High Voltage Requests: Microcode 0x129 (August 2024) addressed high voltages requested by the processor.
