CPU Lite Load Control Setting for 13700

I have a 13700 non-k version and MSI Pro B660M-A (7D43v1M BIOS, haven't installed the BIOS with 0x12F yet) motherboard. What should i set CPU Lite Load Control to? Normal, Advanced or Intel Default? If i load optimized defaults with F6 it defaults to Normal. Im using Intel Default performance profile (PL1=65 PL2=219).

Also i have been experiencing crashes and im planned to replace the cpu with the new one using my warranty i hope, if i get the new one what should i choose/do to prevent from the degredation/crashes?

Intel recommends users adhere to the relevant Intel Default Settings for their Intel Core 13th and/or 14th Gen desktop processors, and ensure they are running with the latest BIOS for their systems. Users can check their system/motherboard manufacturer’s website and/or the Intel Product Compatibility Tool to see the latest BIOS versions for their Intel Core 13th and/or 14th Gen-powered desktop systems: https://compatibleproducts.intel.com/.

If the motherboard BIOS allows, disable Turbo and run the system to see if the instability continues. If the instability ceases with Turbo disabled, it is likely that the processor is affected and need a replacement.

Thank you for your response, i will try it and what about the settting ? Which one i should choose now and if i get a replacement?

These values align with Intel's recommended default settings and should work effectively if you choose to maintain them in your BIOS, as they are optimized for this processor's performance. I reviewed the recommended values and searched for this unit, but we only publish values for K-series 13th and 14th generation processors. However, based on the values you've set, I agree with using them. For a baseline, I strongly suggest consulting your motherboard manufacturer, as they can provide accurate values tailored to your system configuration and setup.

PL1 & PL2 basis: Intel® Core™ i7-13700 Processor

Additionally, if you increase the PL1 and PL2 values beyond the recommended levels specified in the datasheet, performance will improve, but it may also lead to issues such as system crashes, random shutdowns, and blue screens (BSOD). Conversely, if you set PL1 and PL2 lower than the datasheet values, performance will vary according to the values you choose.

Please note, PL1 (power limit), PL2, PL3, and PL4 are used for the Intel Turbo Boost Technology. It is not recommended to change these parameters as disabling them may affect how the Intel turbo boost works and the thermal management of the processer.

Thanks for the response again. But I asked about the CPU Lite Load Setting, not PL1 and PL2 im already using the Intel Default profile in that setting, so what should i set CPU Lite Load Control to? Normal, Advanced or Intel Default? (Also if I set it to normal it defaults to Mode 12)

If you experience stability issues or want to reduce power consumption, you might try Normal. If you're aiming for maximum performance and are prepared to manage cooling and stability, you could experiment with Advanced.

Ultimately, the best setting depends on your specific needs and system configuration. If you're unsure, starting with Intel Default and monitoring your system's performance and temperatures is a prudent approach.
