Hello,

before the recent update of Intel XTU, I could always use the Automatic Overclock feature on my I5-13600KF without issue. Now it's telling me the feature is not supported, despite using it two days ago. Help?

As stated in the title, I've updated to 7.14.2.45 from whatever the previous version was, which worked perfectly fine. I reinstalled XTU after the first time it didn't work, but that didn't help.

Enable OC settings in the BIOS by following the steps below:

Reboot your computer and press the key to enter the BIOS setup. The key to enter the BIOS varies depending on the manufacturer, but it is often Del, Esc, or F2.
Navigate to the Advanced or Overclock section of the BIOS.
Look for options related to manual tuning or overclocking, such as CPU frequency, voltage control, or memory timing.
Change the setting for each option from manual to automatic or enabled to disabled, depending on the BIOS option.
Save your changes and exit the BIOS.

It's all on auto or as it was before I updated XTU. The update was the only change that took place.

I have the exact same problem, and reading up on the history of XTU and the 13600 series it seems they break the OC feature each time they release a update. Last thread i saw on this they forgot to include this Processor in the supported CPU's.
But reverting back to pervious version is also not working so unsure what the deal is with the 13600....

Thank you for the update. The ISO support for 13600K/KF processors was not intentionally removed from XTU. The problem was resolved with an updated XML file released on the Download Center on February 2, 2024. Users are advised to uninstall the older version (7.14) and reinstall the same version (7.14) from the Download Center, which includes the new XML file. Although the version number remains unchanged because the installer is the same, users will notice a fix and ISO support with recommended values.

If the issue still persists, please confirm if all the P-cores enabled in BIOS, otherwise ISO will continue to show it as unsupported.

So if I understand you correctly, you want me to reinstall XTU from the Download Center (I assume you mean https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/17881/intel-extreme-tuning-utility-intel-xtu.html)? I already did that and did it again after your suggestion, unfortunately it didn't fix anything.

Thank you for the update. Are you able to confirm if all the P-cores enabled in BIOS?

Additionally, I would like to request for the verbose. Follow below steps to obtain verbose (level 4) XTU log file (XtuCore):

Open Registry Editor
Find HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software
Create a new Key named “Intel” under that node (if it doesn’t already exist)
Create a new Key named “XTU” under the “Intel” node (if it doesn’t already exist)
Create a new DWORD value under the “XTU” node called “LoggingLevel” with value 4
Restart the XTU Service, or restart the computer.
Start XTU and reproduce issue
Share new XtuCore logs available in C:\ProgramDate\Intel\Intel Extreme Tuning Utility\Logs. Specifically the XtuCore file after the issue was reproduced, which will now include additional information details [ INFO ].

I have the same problem,my CPU is 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900K.

I can use XTU two weeks ago, but it dosn't word now.

I tried to reinstall, but it told me: Attempted to install on an unsupported platform.

I don't want to mess with my registry. I'm very sure upgrading to the most recent version of XTU caused the issue, nothing else. Can you just provide an older version or something?

Even if you’ve already installed the latest version, you should completely uninstall XTU and reinstall it

Verify all P-Cores are enabled in BIOS:

Navigate to your BIOS setup utility and verify that all Performance Cores (P-cores) are enabled. XTU will fail to initialize advanced features if any core is disabled.

Manually update the XML Configuration File:

In cases where the default XML config becomes corrupted or outdated, follow these steps to refresh it:

Step-by-step:

Navigate to: C:\ProgramData\Intel\Intel Extreme Tuning Utility (.xml)
Delete the old .xml update file
Insert the new XML file (provided via Intel support or bundled in newer versions)
Reboot the system

Yes, all P cores are enabled, I didn't change anything in my bios before the update and now. I completely deinstalled XTU per your instructions twice without any effect. I cannot manually update the XML config, because you didn't provide any, but I deleted the whole folder for the clean deinstall anyway, so it shouldn't matter. Can't you provide an older version of XTU?

I just wanted to chime in- i have the exact same processor as the OP- and the exact same problem.

The previous version of Intel XTU let me use the speed optimizer tool- but since i updated to 7.14.2.45 i am no longer able to use it. When i press the button it turns gray and says intel speed optimizer 2.0 is not supported. This worked on the previous version.

I did not change anything on my PC in between. This is definitely a problem with the latest version.
