Hello, I have been trying to get my i5 12600KF to boost to 4.9 or more and i have tried using the automatic OC button on the XTU app. However, whenever i try, XTU says "Automatic OC failed. Manual tuning is currently active.". How do i fix this?
Another error pops up when i press "Optimise Power & Current Limits".

Try going to XTU > Advanced Settings > All and look for the Processor Core iccMax slider. This should be set to the maximum value for a 12600KF which is 175 A. Alter this value to something less than that, 174.75 should do it.

Hello, when i look at the iccMax slider it is default set at 280A any ideas or should i decrease it to 174.75A like you said? It seems like a big jump and im unsure if thats safe.

The values displayed in the XTU screenshot for items such as Turbo Boost Short Power Max, Turbo Boost Power Max and Processor Core IccMax are read from the BIOS settings. All three of these values are substantially more than the Intel Default Settings for the 12600KF, and this may be the cause of at least some of the issues you are experiencing.

Bear in mind that if you alter the values in XTU it does not alter the BIOS, it applies different values only until the PC is next restarted.

The Intel default of 175 A or 174.75 A for IccMax is correct and the defaults for Turbo Boost Short Power Max are 150 W and for Turbo Boost Power Max 125 W. Using the Intel defaults for your processor does not carry any risk.
